Planning to stay in Spain for a while? Have a sunny home in Madrid to return to every day. This newly renovated apartment is smack in the center of the old city and has all the amenities you will need to make your stay more enjoyable. The apartment is located in one of the most beautiful and coveted areas of Madrid, Los Austrias neighborhood, where you can meander through the narrow streets and stepped alleyways or sit outdoors and have a refreshment in one of the many plazas literally around the corner. Just a few minutes on foot will take you to some of Spain's most famous landmarks, such as the Royal Palace (3 min.), the Plaza Mayor (3 min.) and Puerta del Sol (5 min.), plus you have easy access to the rest of the city through the two different subway lines nearby (Madrid has one of the best functioning subway systems in the world) and the bus stop just steps from the apartment.

Bedroom with a queen sized, orthopedic mattress (as opposed to the typical Spanish bed with the cavity in the middle).
Bathroom with separate shower and jacuzzi tub.
Kitchen comes with refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, washer/drier, gas stove, electric oven, blender, juicer and microwave oven.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Just a few blocks away there is a supermarket as well as two traditional Spanish markets (permanent farmer's markets). About 5 minutes on foot will take you to a vegetarian supermarket.
Many great restaurants within a short walking distance that serve Spanish, French, Egyptian, Thai and Vegetarian Cuisine, among others.
Lovely "Terrazas" (outdoor café's) where you can enjoy the summer in the city, there is one just up the street on a hill with a spectacular view!
Two pharmacies around the corner, one is open 24 hours and also has a section of natural foods and remedies.
On Sunday mornings, the famous "El Rastro" --Spain's largest outdoor flea-market/antique sale-- takes place a few blocks away.

Local phone (within Madrid) and 50 minutes per week of calling to the USA are provided for FREE. Renter pays actual charges beyond this offer.
INTERNET
DSL hookup is provided with unlimited access between 6PM and 8AM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Renter pays actual charges for use at other times.
This apartment is best suited for couples, or couples with one or two young children (under 5).

2 week rental = 750 Euros
1 month rental= 1350 Euros
SECURITY DEPOSIT: We require a 50% or 1000 Euros security deposit, whichever is LESS
